Product Description
This steering wheel remote control adapter allows you to continue using the factory steering wheel remote control after replacing the factory radio with an aftermarket unit from a major brand, provided that the unit has ISO-standard connections for power and speakers. If the vehicle is equipped with CAN bus technology, our adapters are also compatible with this system.
The connection to the steering wheel interface is made using the multi-lead included in the package. This lead can be customized in seconds to fit the corresponding aftermarket unit, such as Alpine, Blaupunkt, Clarion, JVC, Kenwood, Pioneer, Sony, and various Chinese-made units.
All you need is a pair of scissors or wire cutters.
Basic functions of the steering wheel adapter:
- Volume up/down
- Next/previous track
** The following special functions are only available on adapters with the corresponding notes (see product features):
- Trip computer controls
- Parking brake
- Reverse gear
- Speed pulse
- Answer/end phone calls (NOTE: This feature depends on the radio!!)
