This adapter is required for vehicles in which the factory radio the roof antenna only über the antenna cable with power. So there is no separate cable for the power supply of the integrated amplifier of the antenna. If one changes now the factory radio against a Nachrüstgerät from, one stands before the problem that the radio reception becomes clearly worse, since the amplifier in the antenna is not supplied any longer with river and does not function.
With these so-called phantom adapters, it is now possible even with Nachrüstgeräten the built-in amplifier of the antenna to continue to use. Antenna signal and power are combined again in the adapter and routed to the antenna, which now works correctly as before. Connect the blue cable to a Zündplusquelle, best suited is the automatic antenna connection of the car radio.
